A world-first hybrid clover
As a DoubleRoot hybrid clover, AberLasting combines the growth habits of white and Caucasian, letting it establish aboveground with stolons and below with rhizomes, which are protected from grazing damage.
This gives you a climate smart clover combining the persistence of Caucasian clover with the nitrogen fixation of white clover. DoubleRoot clovers are developed to help you produce while reducing nitrogen fertiliser applications.
Persisting beyond conventional clovers
DoubleRoot varieties are developed with environmental strengths. In a drought tolerance experiment, AberLasting maintained leaf water content for one week longer than traditional white clover when left completely without water.
It also has superior cold tolerance and can withstand overnight temperatures down to -30°C, which will kill off 70% of the most cold-tolerant white clover varieties.

White clover is nearly always grown with a companion grass, and most typically with ryegrass, with the type of ryegrass being dependent upon the primary use of the sward.
